AN INSTANT CHAT LINK FOR PRIVATE MESSAGING
An Instant and Disposable URL
No Account or Registration Required.
A Chat Protected From Its Hosting Service.
What Is Insta Chat?
It is your private communications channel with another party. The difference is: this service cannot access your messages. Nor does it have access to data about you and who you chat with.
How it works
Step 1:
Generate a new secret key in your browser.
Step 2:
Start the chat.
Step 3 (Optional):
Bookmark the permalink.
How is my chat kept private?
All encryption and decryption is carried out in the browsers of the two chat parties - no servers involved. This ensures that servers can only pass the encrypted data around but stay uninformed as to the chat content at all times. This chat service does not have an ability to decrypt any of your messages.
What if the link that I send to another party is compromised later?
The chat invitation link is one-time use only. It is of no value once the conversation begins. At that time, new chat URLs and new encryption keys are created in parties' browsers. This protects your chat even if the initial chat link sent through conventional means (e.g. SMS, email, IM through a popular app) is compromised later.

Quick FAQ
Why use this chat service?
Because you don't trust "free" popular chat apps, which:
1) Require a phone number and registration;
2) May monitor your conversation, and analyze it for keywords and patters for "your safety";
3) Record your IP address, time zone, and location;
4) Track who you talk to and when, their names, phone numbers, and locations;
5) Trace you across multiple devices and web sites;
6) Sell information about your interests, contacts, habits, and locations to third parties;
7) Keep certain copies of your messages unencrypted, cleverly, under the auspices of backups.
How can the messages and chat URLs be protected from the web site providing the chat service?
The full chat URL consists of two parts. Decryption is only possible with the URL fragment generated in your browser (the part after the '#' sign), which is never shared with our servers, even when the link is clicked. This behavior is by design in all modern browsers.
The service is provided free of charge for personal use, courtesy of Insta Chat.
